Description
Silastic Curing Agent (Catalyst) is suitable for the Silastic condensation-cure silicones. It is available in 3 types and speeds (detailed below), and is to be added to the base silicone at 5% by weight. The shelf-life of this product is 9 months.
- 1kg base Silicone requires 50g Curing Agent
- 5kg base Silicone requires 250g Curing Agent
- 20kg base Silicone requires 1kg Curing Agent

Slow (81-R)
Key benefit of 81-R is it produces a silicone more resistant to polyester resin, so increases the mould–life if you are casting resin into your silicone moulds. Ideal as a general purpose cure and for pouring moulds. Also suitable for use with Silastic 3483 Silicone Base

Fast (81-F)
A fast curing agent is the most popular and is recommended as standard. Ideal for both pouring and brush-on applications.

Very Fast (81-VF)
This really is Very Fast! Only use in specific applications where speed is essential. The 10 minute working time is great for building up layers in brush-on applications, but you really do only have 10 minutes to work with it!
