Neuthane is a 2-part polyurethane flexible moulding rubber for use in plaster and concrete casting. Neuthane is simple to use, has low viscosity and gives excellent detail reproduction and high tear strength. The mix ratio varies from 2 – 1 to 2 - 2, Base – Isocyanide, please see the table below. You will need to order both parts (Base & Isocyanide) in 25kg multiples.
The finished rubber gives:
- A high level of elasticity
- Good tear resistance
- Good abrasion resistance
- Low process temperatures
- Good dimensional stability
Typical Applications
- Concrete Industry (e.g. moulds for decorative slabs and walls)
- Plaster Mouldings
- Model making.
For the best results and long-term mould life, Neuthane moulds should be left 7 days before entering production to allow full cure.
