Description
This duplicate gel is of high quality yet economical. It can be used with many types of melting systems and duplicating machines. Its elasticity and fluidity ensure good tear resistance, accurate replication and extended re-use life.
Pink in colour, no-wash, reversible hydrocolloid, also microwaveable. Typically used in dental laboratories during the manufacturing process.
Guide for Typical Use:
1. Cut up gel into small pieces (the smaller the better) and put it into an automatic melting unit or double boiler.
2. Heat until the gel becomes a smooth liquid (approx 93°C). Do not boil. If using a microwave, carefully bring it to the correct temperature, stirring regularly.
3. Cool to roughly 50-55°C, stirring to avoid lumps.
4. Soak the model in cold water for approximately 5 minutes. Dry gently and place it into the base of the flask.
5. Fill the flask with gel and leave to harden for 90 minutes at room temperature.
6. Open the flask and remove the model.
7. Mix and fill with your material of choice. (Plaster or Diestone recommended) and allow it to cool down in the duplicating mould for 30-40 mins.
8. Wash the gel after use and replace the possibly evaporated water. Do not use aluminium wash.
